Very impressive demo IMO.  It's great to see EA bring something fresh to a genre that has been dominated by Tony Hawk.  Mind you I love Tony Hawk games, but competition in the marketplace is always nice.

The controls are completely different too.  You use this "flickit" system with the analog stick to ollie and nollie and do tricks.  It turns out that it works out very well.  If there is one word to describe the new control sceme I would have to say the word...smooth.Cheesy  Also there is greater realism to this skateboarding game than I have seen in even the most recent of Tony Hawks.  The character models look fantastic.

If you haven't already I highly recommend checking out this sweet demo that has just come to Xbox Live.  The controls are something to get used to, but there is a big payoff once you get used to it.Cheesy

I have played a lot of the Tony Hawk games but none of them have had controls that look like this and I have to say that this way will allow for more tricks but I think it looks like it would be really hard.
