USB To 2 Dual DB9 and Para Serial Cable

I purchased the above cables and a new laptop but cannot get the cables to work with it.I downloaded the cd roms which came with them but they did not work.A friend told me the cd's are the old version and i need the new driver to install to get them going.My laptop have windows XP.  I am a novice and any help would be great.Thanking u kindly Potty 179

The drivers can usually be downloaded from the manufacturer.  Could you be more specific on what parts you have?  were they bought from sewell direct? and if so, what are the part numbers of the parts you purchased?  (part numbers start with SW- on the webpage)
