Well this is very interesting (at least to some computer users).  To be honest I could care less if SP1 is released this year or next.  My Vista comp is really stable and I don't have any complaints. Wink Grin

Uh-Oh! No Vista SP1 This Year?

Quote
Early indications are that Vista SP1 will be released some time in 2008, based on information I've obtained from my sources. However, Microsoft could dedicate more resources to SP1 development in order to make the Vista search changes sooner because of a court oversight. That said, Vista search changes could just as easily slow down the SP1 development.

I'm aching for SP1.  My laptop install is pretty buggy.  (it was the excruciatingly slow "express upgrade" on a Tosh that installed vista on top of XP-Why they couldn't have just sent a real install DVD I'll never know)

Apparently the service pack was chopped down for an early release, and has now leaked

Yeah, I've seen the pre-release SP1 available in a few places, along with the pre-release SP3 for XP.  However, i hear that they are causing more problems than what they're fixing at this point.  Part of me really wants to give it a shot, but i've finally got my Vista running exactly how i want it and don't want to risk having to re-install it all.
