After purchasing the PC to TV adaptor and getting it to work, I was not pleased with the image on the TV screen; it appears to be out of focus.  I have tried using the “Fine Tune” button on the adaptor but it does not help with the image.  I am using the S-video cable to connect directly into the TV.  Is there anything that can be done to improve the image?

Unfortunately the blurry image is due to the low resolution of a standard definition TV signal.  That PC to TV converter does not support high definition images.  If you are not using an HDTV that's the clearest signal you can get on the tv.  Usually it will still look fine for pictures or video, but text will be blurry and unreadable. Standard def tvs just don't support a high enough resolution for anything better.

If you have an HDTV you could use a PC to TV converter that supports a higher resolution.  There are a lot of different ways to do it with an HDTV and it all depends on what kind of inputs your TV has, and also what kind of outputs your computer had.

I hope that explains how it all works a little bit.  If you do have an HDTV and you'd like to know how to get a clearer picture let us know.

Like Jonathan said if you want to get a better image from a pc to tv converter Sewell Direct has better converters but not wirelessly.  The SW-4279 is a great economical solution to this problem but you need to have component inputs on the TV that you are using.  Mark wrote a blog on the Sewell techblog that show the different quality of the pc to tv converters that we sell.

I just recently bought a PC to TV converter from Radioshack and the image is working fine except for there is no color on my TV, it's all in black and white.  I'm using a Dell Inspiron 8600 Notebook with a 54' Sony TV with a S-video connection.  What gives?
