I am running XP PRo SP2, Intel 2.8, 1gig RAM

I purchased a new UPS unit in Mexico and the monitor worked for a while. The battery seems ok, but the computer has lost contact with the unit. Unfortunately, there is no documentation, but I think it is a 1,000 watt unit unit with a serial port. I am using The PowerGuard Smart driver. I have tried the new hardware wizard and tried to re-install manually, but the computer just can't find it.
