Let me just say first that I love Disney/Pixar films.  My family could just watch them over and over.  We really have lost count of how many times we have seen Toy Story and Toy Story 2. Cheesy

IMO (in my opinion) Pixar's greatest difficulty it seems is actually making a bad movie.  I have loved everything they have created thus far.  And from what I have been reading about the upcoming Ratatouille (June 29th) it seems the awesome movie streak will continue.

I know what my family and I will be doing next Saturday. Grin

In a different way, Ratatouille is another major revelation.  It is the first great American animation for adults first.  Take your date, take your parent, take your friends ... this is not your little brother's animated movie.

A terrific movie--and an early contender for the Academy Award. With "Ratatouille," Disney and Pixar not only capture the culinary heart of Paris--itself a feat--but also the hearts of audiences through one adorable little rat.

The master chefs at Pixar have blended all the right ingredients -- abundant verbal and visual wit, genius slapstick timing, a soupcon of Gallic sophistication -- to produce a warm and irresistible concoction.

Dito, and I saw the TV trailer the other day and it looked so funny and they said that it is supposed to be the funniest Disney/Pixar movie yet.  I am way excited for it. (Although it is going to be hard to beat CARS, but I wouldn't be surprised if it did.)

This does look like it's going to be an amazing movie.  I'm way excited.

I was able to see Ratatouille with my daughter over the weekend!  It was awesome!  Probably my favorite Pixar movie and that is saying a lot!  I will post my brief review tonight. Grin

I recently was able to go and see ratatouille and I have to say that pixar delivered.  I don't know how they do it but they never seem to disappoint.  I love pixar movies and knew that this one would be great but I was a little sceptical when I saw the trailers but it was so funny and a great movie.  Hats off to Disney and Pixar for another great movie.  I can't wait for Wall-E.

I agree %100. My wife and I were really excited to see Ratatouille and Pixar didn't disappoint yet again. It's amazing to me how thoroughly they've dethroned Disney as the only real animators of substance out there.

Yeah, I have heard that they no longer have a contract with Disney and they could make a movie by themselves.  Has anyone else heard anything like that?  If that is true they could make movies without Disney being a part of it and I would still want to go see it just the same.

I wonder if the robot movie that Pixar is releasing soon is going to be any good. There must be a reason for them saving it for last. And the only preview I've seen was pretty vague. Are there any scoops out there on the plot?

What do you mean by that?  Is Wall-E supposed to be the last movie that Disney & Pixar are going to make?

I suppose if you hadnt seen the preview, you would have no idea what I'm talking about. Check it out at IMDB. This movie is the last of a group of movies they came up with at a meeting they had.

I think so too, remember Ice Age? Boy it really makes me laugh? Especially the raccoon getting his nut, then the snow mountain collapses before him. What a chase it was.
