I know this is sort of a sad story to bring up, but I sort of want to hear other people's speculations.

Her body was found yesterday afternoon at the bottom of a cliff near bridal veil falls. There are just some strange facts in the story:

-Her debit card was used the day after she was reported missing
-What was purchased with her debit card was found in the backpack with her body
-Her bike was locked up, but the key to the lock was found at her apartment
-The 2 teenagers who took the bike reported taking it at 1 AM. It's a dangerous place anyway, and even more so at 1 AM when it's too dark to see anything. They also reported the bike being run-down with flat tires, bent rims, etc. If this is true, how did Camille ride it up there?

Nothing seems consistent. It probably was an accident and there is some sort of explanation for everything, but I'd like to hear others' thoughts.

I am not saying that it was or wasn't foul play but I think that if it was then whoever did it made a lot of mistakes with the bike, the key and the card and everything just doesn't make much sense.

The happiest explanation (if there is such a thing in this sort of situation) is that she went home Thursday night after being reported missing and left Friday morning without anyone seeing her, she went to the convenience store and bought some stuff for her ride, and then went up the canyon just for some enjoyment, and accidentally slipped and fell. It's just hard to see it that way when it seems like there are so many inconsistencies.

First off, I wouldn't necessarily put much stock in what the theifs say about the bike they stole, (they'll likely lean the story to minimalize what they did).

There are definitely some weird things about the whole situation...
The fact that they specifically say (in almost every report I've seen) that they are not yet ruling out intentional death, could mean one of two things.  1) there was something suspicious about the body or circumstances that makes it look like a murder or suicide. Or 2) the media is trying to sell you a bigger story.  (This has been a top seller for them... they might want to get as much out of it as possible)

If she was buying snacks she was probably fine Friday morning.  (Any other explanation is really macabre)  But Bridal Veil Falls should have been a pretty busy spot Friday. I don't know exactly where they found her, but I have a hard time imagining being isolated enough that someone can't hear you scream as you slip down the mountain.

And why did they do a polygraph on the boyfriend?  Did I miss something?

They found her a ways above bridal veil falls.  If you hike all the way to the top and head east there are some trails and a lot of cliffs up there.  It gets really secluded really fast.  Also, the rock is really shale and brittle.  If she was climbing around on those cliffs it would be really easy to fall.  I've hiked around a lot of the waterfalls up in that area, and I can definitely see how someone could fall and not be heard.  Especially since when you're down by the fall, the water can be quite loud.  The sound of the fall drowns out the sound of a lot of other things.

While i'm not saying that i have any proof that it wasn't more than just an accident, i do believe it could easily have been one just like they are saying.

According to one article I read he volunteered to do it, but that also seems strange. Maybe he just did it so they'd stop bugging him. I guess the fact that she went missing in the first place led people to believe that someone must have done something, and the boyfriend seemed like the best place to start.

Here's another article that says it was voluntary.

This article says:

Quote
According to Provo police, when Cleverley's body was found, she had her keys, debit card, identification and a receipt for drinks and doughnuts that she purchased on Aug. 31.

So NOW the thing that is interesting to me is that she was reported as missing the day before she actually went missing. (Unless it was foul play and someone else bought the stuff and then put it all in her bag.) Strange.
