Fastlynx is a great program to transfer files from computer to computer and although it is possible to transfer files without this program, it might not be as easy, but there are so many features with this software that I don't even know how to do like scrips for example.  If you know some special features let us know how to use them.

Jordan, that means you.

I think the scripting is one of the real benefits to Fastlynx  there are hundreds of programs that will let you transfer files, and lots still that will let you synch folders.  Fastlynx gives you a simple way to run a custom transfer, then save it as a script.

Better than that is the advanced scripting.  You can run them from a batch file, and the scripting itself is pretty simple but it is really powerful.  You can create custom dialog boxes, start external programs, or run command line routines from the Fastlynx script.

The Fastlynx manual and help file has a really easy to follow tutorial.  Most people with minimal programming experience could start the tutorial and have a good script written within a few  hours.
