I have a Dos/Windows 2.0 PC with a bunch of 5.25" floppy disks that need to be copied. Can fastLynx connect to a floppy drive on the slave PC so that I may copy these disks?

It can if your second machine is running a newer version of Windows. Basically what you will do is download FastLynx, and somehow get the DOS slave program onto the DOS machine. From there you will install FastLynx 3.3 on your windows machine.

The Windows machine is used to navigate the different folders on the DOS machine. On the right hand side of FastLynx is a drop down menu of the slave computer's drives. One of the drives listed should be the floppy drive.

It might be able to do it through FastLynx 2.0(the DOS version), but I don't recall off hand how to do it.

If your computer has a serial port, there is an option to force upload the DOS slave.  It doesn't always work, but it's worth a try for computers without a CDROM or 3.5 floppy drive.

From the fastlynx main window, click on File, "Upload DOS slave..." and follow the instructions.

good luck!
