A client of mine wants to run two monitors off of his Dell XPS M140 laptop.  I'm wondering if I can run the VillageTronic vtBook card thru the ExpressCard to PCMCIA Adapter...  Has this setup been tried?

No, the VTbook is not compatible with the Duel-Adapter.  I would personally recommend the USB to DVI 1600x1200 adapter.  It actually seems to have a smoother performance and works really well.  You can see it here:

I bought a hp tx1320 and a express to pcmcia card.
I am just wondering of the problem I am having is the issue or not.
I pplug in the adaptor and it is detected, install the software and everythign is good.
It tells me that the duel card is inserted and working correctly but no card is inserted.
I am trying to use the adaptor to read a pcmcia type II card.
If this is the issue is there anything I  can try to work around it.
Thanks

That is exactly the issue that has been being reported with the HP laptops.  It would appear that the adapter is not going to be compatible with your computer.  I would suggest returning it for a refund and looking into getting an expresscard to replace your PCMCIA card.

If you have any other questions let me know.

Unfortunately the problems have not been corrected, and we are still hearing reports from some customers that it isn't working properly.

I am new to this and have read all the post regarding the ExpressCard to PCMCIA adapter and didn't find answer.
I have a sprint aircard which I have been using for 3 years and now have to buy a new computer.  Don't want to change the sprint aircard because of cost and another 2 year agreement.  Mad at sprint for not advising and/or helping their long time customers with this problem.
What computers are compatible with the PCMCIA adapter to use the Sprint AirCard?

Unfortunately, we do not have a specific list of computers that DO work with the adapter.  We only have this list of computers that don't.  We add to this list as we hear from various customers that they are having problems with the adapter and their particular laptop.

Unfortunately that also means that if no one has reported having problems with a specific laptop, that doesn't mean that it doesn't have problems.

All we can suggest is that you stay away from the laptops that are on the list above because we know for sure that those ones don't work.  Other than that we can't be more specific in which laptop to use.

The code 31 error is generally a sign of incompatible hardware.  The ExpressCard controllers that  aren't compatible with the adapter generally cause that exact problem.

Unfortunately the version of the OS doesn't seem to make any difference.  The problems you are experiencing are most likely caused by a Hardware conflict.

OK. Folks. After 2 days of troubleshooting, updating my bios, allocating resources, and using all of my computer knowledge of 22 years I solved my issue. I can not say it will work for you but give it a try. Do not plug in the adapter after loading the software and driver until after you restart your computer. After you plug in your unit, check the device manager to make sure it is loaded without fault and then plug in your PCMCIA card into the unit. Somehow the bios makes the unit go into code 12 during the boot. Unplug the unit before every shutdown and do not plug it in until your computer has finished loading windows and you are signed on. Good Luck.

I got this from http://blog.wired.com/gadgets/2007/05/review_duel_sys.html and it works on my dell xps m1330. It’s a pain but it works

On 6/8/08 I installed my dualadapter in my HP dv9815nr. I had previously installed the drivers for it from the manufacturers website. Installation was a breeze, and everything is working as expected.
