I would first check the device manager and make sure it is still installed without errors.  Then i would check your COM port number on the cable.  Sometimes installing other hardware / software can cause the cable to change COM numbers.  Make sure the cable is set somewhere from COM 1-4.  Also, make sure your software is set to the same COM port.

Those would definitely be the things to do first.

The file that contains the driver remover also contains the driver.  It does not have a driver installation executable file, however.  It must be installed through the new hardware wizard or device manager.  Just tell the computer that you want to install from a specific location and point it to that folder. (the folder must be extracted before it can be read properly)

If you have any questions on how to do that, let me know. Thanks.

The USB-Serial device provides a simple and easy way to connect Universal Serial Bus (USB) and Serial port interface.

With the advantage of USB port, users have the capability to utilize the peripheral with serial port interface in easy to use environment such as plug and play & hot swap function. This adaptor is designed for ideal connections to Cellular Phone, Digital Camera, Modems or ISDN terminal adapter with over 1 Mbps data transfer rate.
