I want to connect a Dell PC and a Mac book (through an Apple Extreme Router) to my HP Laserjet Printer.  I realize the Hot Key approach is not supported by Mac, so I'll need to use the manual switch button. I cannot understand the instructions provided.

I've properly wired the switch.  When I select PC1 by clicking the select button on top of the switch, the Dell PC prints just fine.  When I use the select button to switch to PC2, I cannot print.  Hooking either computer directly to the printer works fine.  Am I somehow in Hot Key mode?

When you push the button on the top of the switch do the lights change to signal a change to the mac computer?
