USB 2.0 Manual Share Switch, 2 PC's to 1 Device

Will this switch work like a A/B switch  where my device will be a external HDD and PC1 will be one computer and PC2 will be a DVR.
I want to be able to record to the HDD then dnloaded the recorded shows to my computer to put on dvd.

Idealy, that should work just fine.  The manual switch should be invisible to the computer and DVR.  As long as you've switched the unit to go to the DVR before you want to record something it should work.

Of course there is always the chance of the DVR not working properly with something like that, but i don't believe there should be any problems.
