We finally have the new Cellular wifi router from Top global

I think this is a phenomenal product.  It is essentially an upgrade from the Phoebus Wifi router.  But it ads a lot of functionality.

This unit will combine all the functionality of most of the consumer networking solutions.

The first and the biggest feature of this router, is you can connect your Cellular internet connect card (from Verizon, Sprint, At&t etc.) and share the internet connection through wireless or wired internet connections.  No need to purchase multiple cards, or install additional software on any of your computers.  The SW-8454 will convert your Cellular signal to a standard WiFi or wired ethernet connection with the integrated 4 port Switch.

The 6800 also has a WAN uplink port.  That will allow you to take a standard ethernet connection like a DSL or Cable internet line, and connect it into the router giving you the option of staying connected with either or both connection types.

This will be advantageous for users who want to have a backup for their internet connection.  Especially for small to medium business who want an affordable redundant internet connection.

I think some of the great things of this product are the 4 ethernet ports and the non-pyramid design.  The size and shape of this router are great if you ever need to move it.  Also the removable antenna is very nice incase you need that extra range from a different external antenna.

So does it aggregate the bandwidth from the two data sources (wireless card and the WAN uplink) giving you a wicked fast connection?

I believe it does aggregate the connections, however don't get too excited about the additional bandwidth you get from your cell phone provider.  You would be better off ordering a fatter pipe from your ISP.

It's the redundancy that is really key.

I have to say that just the design makes it so much better and more portable than the Phoebus.  I have to say that I don't like the pyramid design and without it makes it much easier just even to pick up and move.
