Just took delivery of this device...

The one page manual does not have enough info to get me started!!!

For instance Setting the baud rate...

Step 2.

Hold down the "key " and   then plug DC power.   The Green LED flash indicate which baud rate is setting...

Step 3.

release the "key"

Step 4.

toggle the "key" until the software received the correct baud rate character.(example : baud rate 115.2k), Press the key one time the baud rate will increase form 9600->...

The Question is???  What is the "key" that their talking about?Huh  Who writes these manuals?

Could someone tell me how to configure these devices?  PLEASE

Thanks,

Paul E. Rogers

The key for this device is hidden in a recessed area of the adapter. Look on the side of the unit for a place that is big enough for a paper clip.

Thanks,

Jordan:

I can follow the direction about the baudrate selection.  But the pairing button method, I don't get...

When I power these devices up without the "key" pressed the red light is on and the green light flashes...

I thought that the directions said if you set the baud rate that the device would echo characters typed in hyper-terminal...

The paper supplied by the devices implied that they work with a bluetooth compatible pc the 1234 passcode and all.  Have you used it in this way?

My buletooth discovery wizard doesn't see a thing out there...

Thanks,

It should at least see it. I have used it before with a computer. When you refer to pairing, are you referring to the computer to the adapter? Or the adapter to the second adapter? When the manual mentions pairing, I believe it is referring to pairing from one adapter to the next. Thanks.

Jordan:

I was successful with getting the devices to communicate with each other...

I was also able to connect to one of the devices via a bluetooth adapter.

I was able to put in the PIN on one of the devices.  The other wouldn't...

Question: Do both devices have the same PIN number? 1234?

Is there a way to reset or set the PIN?

Regards,

There isnt any way of reseting the pin that I know of. Are you sing this as an extender? Or are you using it to connect to two computers? Or two devices to one computer? Thanks.
