I am need of a cable....and it appears to be male to male.....to connect my laptop to my 42" Samsung Plasma....from about 11 feet distance between them.  WHAT kind of cable to I need to get a really good picture on the plasma?  I am really tech challenged and, hence...this question.  Any replies will really be appreciated!

Which cable you are going to need is going to depend entirely on what kinds of connections your TV and Computer have.  So first off, what kinds of video inputs does your TV have?   And second, what outputs does your laptop have?

If you're not sure, you may need to check the user manuals to see what they have.

Eek, plasma is not a great type to be connecting a laptop. It can burn images into the screen. It is better to use a lcd television that has a computer connection in the back
