serial pci card

I just purchase a serial PCI card and cannot get it to install. After inserting the driver disk, New Hardware Wizard looks for the installation but does not recognize it. Any suggstions?? This is using XP. Thanks.

Depending on which PCI Serial card you have there are a couple different things you may need to do. If the CD for your serial PCI card has a setup program you'll want to run that. It should be able to install the drivers.

If the driver CD does not have a setup program you'll need to tell the new hardware wizard that you want to install from a specific location. Then point it to the PCI Serial driver folder on the CD.

If you can tell me what PCI to Serial card you have I'll be better able to help you in that. If you purchased it from us could you please give me the part number you purchased?

I did buy it from Sewell. The part # is SW-1481. I left a message earlier there for someone to call me if that would be easier.
