Duel Adapter PC to Express Resource Issues

I purchased a Duel Adapter (PCMCIA to Express Card).  The adapter installed fine and appears to work ok per the Windows Device Manager.  My problem is when I install a PC card it doesn’t work and the error I get is the “not enough free resources error”.

 I have tried this with three different cards including a generic 3 Com Ethernet card.  Is this a common error?  Any input you have would be greatly appreciated.

Oh yes Laptop info
*ASMOBILE Z84FM with Intel Duo processor running Windows XP.

Do you have any other computers you can test the adapter on? It isnt a common error. The problem could either be incompatibility, or defectivity. Do you have any other PC Cards you can test on it?
