I just installed a smartview vga-e2 extender together with two smartview intelligent pro vga extender remotes. The local unit is hooked to the vga port of a laptop. The signal travels via shielded cat5 to the remotes and two nec np1000 projectors. One is about 40' away. The other about 60'. The one closest has a great display. The other was pretty dark. After adjusting for brightness and cable length, The brightness is about the same as the other one, but the displayed picture has a reddish pink tint to it. The projector settings are identical. What can be the reason for this? How can I fix it? This is for my church
Thanks.

The first thing i would try is swapping the recievers.  Try the reciever that  is working fine with the one monitor and try it on the other to see if you get a better picture.  It's possible that one of the recievers could have a problem.

If that doesn't help you may want to try another run of CAT5 cable to see if that's the cause.   Those extenders should be able to go much further than 60' so i believe the problem is either going to be in the reciever or in the cable.

Also, you could try switching which port the 60' run is plugged into on the transmitting end to make sure it isn't a problem with the one transmit port.

Most often when I have seen bad color like you are describing it is a bad VGA connection.  Double and triple check all of the cabling to make sure that everything is snug, and there are no bent pins.   Try swapping cables and receivers like Jonathan re commmended, and if that isn't it, there might be a bad solder joint on one of the extender VGA ports.
